The TurboTax online editions can only be used for one tax return per account and User ID. If another tax return is completed using the same account then the first tax return is deleted and cannot be recovered.

If you want to start another tax return using the online editions you will need to create a new account with a new User ID.

Uh oh....If your son used your account and your user ID, his return overwrote your own and yours is lost forever.

When you use Online TurboTax, you get one return per fee. Each return needs its own account and user ID. If you use the same account and user ID for a second return, you overwrite the first one and lose it forever.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.
