Tax form availability is subject to change. The 1040X has often not been available until late February, so this is not unusual. I was pretty surprised when they first said February 13. So, you have to wait. Maybe 2-22

It is too soon to amend a 2024 tax return. You have to wait until it has been fully processed by the IRS. Sometimes the IRS catches and corrects mistakes you made. And the Form 1040X you will need is not available yet. Amending too soon can cause confusion and long delays.

Agreed with @xmasbaby0. The amendment forms in TurboTax for 2025 should be ready around late February. It takes a bit of time for TurboTax to get everything set up after the IRS releases the forms. You can keep an eye on the TurboTax forms availability page for the most up-to-date information.

It is now late February. Does Turbotax 2024 desktop support 1040x yet?
I checked the forms availability link and it says 1040x is available and 1040x e-file is supported.
I invoked Turbotax 2024 desktop on my Mac and selected to amend 2024 tax, and it still says "This section will be ready February 15" even though it is already past that date.

You need to update your software. To perform an update, follow these steps:

Select Online from your TurboTax Desktop.
Select Check for Update
Run Update
