Look at the date on the IRS refund site. Look at that same date on a calendar. Count backwards for five days. If you do not get the refund on the 5 day early date they will not charge you the $25.

Okay I get that if you have child tax credit federal will probably be depositing on March 3rd I paid for 5 days early deposit does that mean I'll get it 5 days earlier than March 3rd

Remember that the “”5 day early” date is based on the date given to you on the IRS refund site—-not the date the TT site shows in your account. If your refund does not come in five days ahead of the IRS date, they are supposed to cancel the $25 fee.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

I'm not trying to be rude but everybody keeps repeating the same answer over and over I understand all that so let's just say the date is the third in theory if I paid for 5 days early do I get it 5 days earlier than the Third is that how that works what was the point of paying extra for it if I'm just going to get it refunded and I'm not going to get it 5 days early that's my question

That's not answering the question I don't have a confirmed date for one I'm asking kind of how that works and I know how to count thank you I'm just asking what's the point if you don't end up getting it due to the child tax credit what was the point of being offered it if I'm just going to get it when everybody else gets it anyways

Read what the IRS says about putting deposit dates on the refund site.

https://www.irs.gov/credits-deductions/individuals/earned-income-tax-credit/when-to-expect-your-refund-if-you-claimed-the-earned-income-tax-credit-or-additional-child-tax-credit

When the IRS puts a date on the site for you, then you can count back five days.
