The page of instructions to file my returns by mail are missing, where can I find this information?

I always have to file my federal and state returns by mail due to special circumstances. Every year before there have been instruction pages when I printed the returns. This year, those are absent. I could look back at instructions from previous years, but I don't know for sure that they are the same. Is there someplace else where I can find these instructions listed?

is there any guidance or resource offered in the meantime? I am trying to figure out what, if anything, needs to be attached to each state and fed return. I spoke to someone on the phone who said nothing needed to be attached, but he also said that I should mail my state and fed return together to the same address, which I'm pretty sure is incorrect.

It's a feature, not a bug. TurboTax is being really pushy about e-filing this year. When I selected "File By Mail", it immediately reverted me back to e-file on the next page. I had to opt out of e-filing twice.

To mail your return, you will need to separate the federal and state returns.

For your federal return:

Make sure the return is signed.
Assemble any schedules and forms behind your Form 1040 and the rest of the forms should be in the order of the "Attachment Sequence No" on the upper right hand corner of the schedule or form.
Attach a copy of Forms W-2, W-2G, Forms 1099-R if tax was withheld to the front of Form 1040
If you have a balance, send a check or money order payable to the "United States Treasury."
- Write your name, address, Social Security number, daytime telephone number, and "Year Form 1040"
To mail it, find the correct address in the following link:
- Where to file addresses for taxpayers and tax professionals filing Form 1040 or Form 1040-SR

For your state return:

Make sure the return is signed.
Assemble the return in the order that it was printed.
Attach a copy of Forms W-2, W-2G, Forms 1099-R if tax was withheld to the front of Form 1040
If you have a balance, send a check or money order payable to your state

When I go to the FAQ link provided, it says the problem has been fixed, and so the information is removed. The poroblem is NOT fixed.

@jonhoyle The Filing Instructions page will be included if you use Print Center for your tax return.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2024 online tax return.

Click on Tax Tools on the left side of the online program screen. Then click on Print Center. Then click on Print, save or preview this year's return. Choose the option Include government and TurboTax worksheets

I'm using TurboTax 2024 Home & Business software. The IRS instructions page is missing. The suggestion above doesn't apply because I'm not using an online version.

When using the TurboTax desktop editions, click on Forms.

When in Forms mode, scroll down to the bottom of the federal forms, schedules and worksheets on the left side of the Forms mode screen. Click on Federal Inst to open the form. With the form opened, click on the Print button at the bottom of the page.
