Yes you can go back in and change or add anything as long as you haven't efiled or mailed it. Are you using the Desktop program or the Online version? For Online click on Add a State to let you back in.

I am using Online, clicked add State, but could not change Fed return document. I saw the message saying that "This section is unavailable while we work on updates for recent tax law changes".

Then you have to wait. Is it for a 1099R RMD? They are having problems with that section.
