Cannot efile an amended return

I have Turbo Tax Desktop premier and need to amend my 2023 return for a missing 1099. I efiled my federal last year and used my States website for state taxes. When I enter the amended return it says I cannot efile due to state not supporting efile. However, I never efiled the state using TT.

I tried removing the State return, but then TT says the efile period is over and it wont allow efile a federal amended return.

How can I efile the amended Federal return for 2023?

You can't. E-filing is permanently closed for 2023 returns. The only way to file it is by mail. Print it, sign and date it in ink, and mail it in.
