I need to amend Sch A of my NY state return because Line i showing the incorrect number of days that I did not work in NY state. How can I access Sch A? Thanks!

I did not work in NY state any days and want to make sure I report it that way because I will not be filing in NY next year. I want there to be at least two years history of never stepping foot in the state, which will be accurate. I only know it's wrong because the review process flagged an issue with line j (based on the incorrect number on line i) but I can only change line j. Am I able to access Sch A using the online version or should I switch to the downloaded version? Thank you!

First, you use the word “amend,” which refers to updating a return that you’ve already filed. If that’s what you’re talking about, see the TurboTax Help article How do I amend my state tax return? for guidance.

That said, whether you’re amending your New York return or you just need to edit it before submitting, see the Help article How to enter New York State income as a nonresident in TurboTax. The procedure will walk you through making the allocations you need.

There shouldn't be any need to switch to the downloaded version of TurboTax.
