Last year I had refund money withheld towards this year's taxes. Where do I find that amount exactly and where do I list it on this year's form? Does the government send a type of W-2 or something acknowledging this transaction?

No, the IRS does not send you anything. Look on line 36 of your 2023 Form 1040 for the amount of your 2023 refund that you chose to apply toward 2024 tax owed.

Go to Federal>Deductions and Credits>Estimates and Other Taxes Paid>Other Income Taxes

@xmasbaby0 is correct! The IRS will not send you anything, so you can refer to your original return. You will list the amount on your 2024 1040, page 2 line 26.
