To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Start the 2024 online tax return by entering some personal information then click on Tax Home on the left side of the screen.

On the Tax Home webpage -

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year 2023 and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Did you use the Online version? You would have to download the .tax2023 data file and install the 2023 Desktop program to open it to see the actual entries. If you paid for Online you can ask for the Desktop program. You can download the tax file for free. Then you need to install the Desktop program. But they only have the Desktop download program for the last 3 years.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).

If you didn't pay for the Online version you will have to buy the Desktop program download. You can buy the last 3 years of Turbo Tax here,

You will need a full Windows or Mac to install it on.

How do you see all of the last year forms after turbotax uploaded last years taxes from my computer.

Better yet, how do I get turbotax to use last years account information to fill in this year forms.

I seem to remember last year turbotax did that and ask if you wanted to edit them

Make sure you are logged in using the same credentials as you used to prepare your return last year. You can use this link to verify any accounts you may have under your information.
