When I filed it said 24-48 hours. It's been a few days now and it's still pending

The IRS is not officially accepting returns until January 29. The 24-48 hours starts once the IRS has opened for filing.

It is being stored until the IRS begins accepting returns on January 27. After the IRS opens and starts to accept returns it is usually about 14 days for the return to be processed and refund to be paid. If no issues with your return you should have your refund by February 14 or even earlier.

IRS e-filing doesn't open until 1/27/2025. Until then all you will get is an e-mail saying submitted. Once open it may take 24-48 hours to get an accepted or rejected e-mail.
