You have to access your own account and/or print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.

Start a 2024 return online and enter some personal information so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.

Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax? If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

SAVE YOUR TAX RETURNS !

EVERY year before mid-October you should save a copy of your tax return as a pdf and print a copy of it for your records. That way you will not be searching online frantically when you need it for a lender, FAFSA forms, your next tax return, etc.

i.e......TTX requires you to START many of the 2024 startup questions, before the links to the prior years will show up. Dumb....but that's what they've been doing Every Year for the past few years.

Just answering some of those startup questions does not require you to use TTX for 2024.

So I did that and when I click on the tax documents link under 2020, there's nothing there. I know I did them in turbo tax in 2020 because I checked my emails (same email I have the account under- I double checked) and I have emails from spring 2021 saying my return was accepted (from TUrbotax). So why wouldnt my return show up? Its so frustrating that a tech type person can't get on the phone with me and tell me why. I realize I didnt download a copy at the time but its dumb that someone cant simply check for me and see why its not showing up.

@kkleonard70 Customer Support is your only option....as we Helpers sre not TTX employees and have no direct access to the Tech folks either.

I've seen a number of recent posts, here in the forum, of people having trouble with 2020 specifically.....even though they can get the other years.

I suggest you call Customer Support and work with them....they need to realize it may be a particular problem with that year, and check it out.

What is the TurboTax phone number?

OOOOOHHH (Was that the year with a ton of late changes with the IRS forms in mid-filing-season due to COVID? or was that for 2019, or 2021 forms? If that mess was for 2020 tax filing season, maybe there's an issue with tax returns filed/accepted Before vs After the IRS changes took effect...or maybe it's for all 2020 tax files)
