How I do find and print out a previous years state income tax return?

I have used Turbo tax for several years and they say that the information is saved and safe. I need a copy of my 2021 Oklahoma State tax return.

If you used the TurboTax online editions the state tax return will be included in the PDF download. When viewing the PDF the state return will be located directly below the federal tax return forms, schedules and worksheets.

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Start the 2024 online tax return by entering some personal information then click on Tax Home on the left side of the screen.

On the Tax Home webpage -

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year 2021 and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

That was a great start but when it downloads and I try to open it with Adobe I get a pop-up, which I can't get to paste here. It says that it is not a supported format or it is corrupted. I can't find a way to attach the file to this message otherwise I would provide it to you. It is downloading as a .tax file rather than a pdf or word.

@sonjalmcdanel There should have been two links to download the tax return in the Your tax returns & documents section.

The first would have been this link Download/print return (PDF)

The second would have been this link Download .tax file

Based on your post you selected the Download .tax file which can only be opened by the TurboTax software for the year of the data file.

You need to select Download/print return (PDF) which can be opened by any compatible PDF viewer, such as Adobe Reader
