The state tax return will be included in the PDF download. Located directly below the federal tax return forms, schedules and worksheets when viewing the PDF.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and on the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

Did you actually pay for the 2023 "Online" software after preparing your file?

I didn't, and only see the .taxyyyy datafile for 2023 and all the years prior. Apparently, TTX does not store those files for free if you don't keep paying for the software each year.

ALWAYS, always download your PDF file every year after your file has been accepted (or pay & download before the end of October, even if you are not filing)....if you want to keep a copy. THEN, back it up off-computer on a USB flashdrive. Do that every year and you won't be struggling to get it later.

Also, since the 2024 online editions are now available -

After you have signed onto the TurboTax online account with the same User ID that you used for the prior year tax return you will need to start the 2024 tax return. You will need to enter your personal information and at the conclusion there will be a Tax Home link on the left side of the online program screen.

Click on Tax Home. This will take you to the Tax Home screen where you need to click on Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

Sorry, I can't find mine either in this hot mess of a download. The entire thing is about 66 pages long, full of a gazillion forms (most of them blank) for all the various federal applications, but nothing remotely resembling a standard-format Oregon State Tax Return anywhere.

Why does this have to be so HARD, and so NOT user-friendly??

Hope someone can help, so thanks in advance...

The state return should be after the federal return in the pfd file. It might be in the middle if your state wants a copy of federal. So it would be federal, state, federal. The pdf might not include the state if you didn’t pay for state. Then you would have to download the tax data file ending in .tax2023 and install the Desktop program to open it.

I saw a post today that a user called in and found out how to find it. I’ll look for that post.

A user called in and found……

From my Dec 16, 2024 call TurboTax tax expert.

Log into TurboTax Online and then do the following step:

Click on “Your tax return and documents” at bottom of the initial TurboTax online screen
Click on “Amend (change) 2023 tax return” & “Amend using TurboTax Online”
Click on “Tax Tools” on the left-hand side
Click on “Print Center”
Click on “Print, save, or preview this year’s return”
Select: “2023 Federal return” & “Include government and TurboTax worksheets (optional)” and then click on “View or print forms”
Click on “Export a PDF” on the left-hand side
Download a PDF of the return and all supporting schedules (upper right hand corner button).
