Sixty More Days - really?

I uploaded supporting documents to the IRS using the Document Upload Tool (DUT) five days ago. So, today I thought I would call to confirm that the documents were received, and see if additional information may be needed. I was transferred to the Accounts Management Dept. Their reply was "check again after 60 days". They say it takes that long for posted documents to become available to them. That sounds very inefficient. Has anyone had experience using the DUT?

i suspect DUT has nothing to do with it. the IRS is backlogged with reviewing documents. so they probably have it just that it could take up to two months to get to it.

Aside from the initial upload confirmation, which I did not snapshot, there is no way to confirm that your DUT upload is now in the hands of the IRS. The IRS rep on the IRS phone number doesn't know either.

my submission was five months ago, April 1.
