When using the CD version of the program ***NOTHING*** is saved to any online account. it's all saved on your computer and *only* on your computer. It's in the documents/turbotax directory and will have a filename extension of .tax2018. So it's a good idea once your return is filed, accepted and you have your refund, that you also save that file in PDF format, and then back up both the .tax2018 and PDF files to a CD. If you don't back them up and something happens to your computer, then there is absolutely no possible way to "recover" those files. They're just gone permanently and forever.
