Amended refund

I have been waiting for my first federal refund around April for this year 2023 taxes. But I missed some information and made it into a amended refund. It’s been more than 2 weeks now.

Yes, you can check Where's my refund? to track the progress of your original tax refund.

Your original return and your amended return will be processed separately. That means if both returns showed a refund, you will get two payments.

Filing an amendment before your original return is fully processed, may delay your refund, so it's hard to say when you will get it, but the IRS is the only source for updated information about this.
