How long is Audit Defense good for?...ie, If I purchase it for my 2023 return and get Audited in 2029 is my 2023 return covered?

So the way I read this, Audit Defense is only good for 1 year... is that correct?

It is good for the tax return you filed when you had Audit Defense. So if you have it on your 2023 return, it will cover your 2023 return regardless of when it would be audited.

Hi, I read the Terms from the link above and it CLEARLY states that Membership ends in 1 YEAR of acceptance - basically April 15h or later when you file your tax later.

In other words: The Audit Defense coverage ends 1 year after filling (or longer if you file before April 15th)

Expiration Date of Membership: The Expiration Date of Membership is based on the Acceptance Date. If the Acceptance Date is on or prior to the initial IRS due date of the tax return without regard to an extension (typically April 15th), the Expiration Date of Membership shall be the initial due date of the tax return for the subsequent tax year (typically April 15th). If the Acceptance Date is after the initial due date of the tax return without regard to an extension (typically April 16th through October 15th), the Expiration Date of Membership shall be the extended due date of the tax return for the subsequent tax year (typically October 15th).
