Since the federal amendment didn't result in a change in your tax, it won't affect your refund amount. There is a remote possibility it could delay the processing time of your refund though.

I filed my taxes and was waiting on refund. I realized due to an error I needed to amend my state return only. I thought i was amending state but looks like i amended federal and now it's processing. There was no difference in refund. Will this mess everything up on my refund since I filed an amendment? I guess I have to amend my state on paper and didn't realize.
