I sent in a tax amendment and have heard nothing back and its been about 2 months. What am I supposed to do? I had to pay more money to do the amendment and no one has helped me about what to do next to get my refund

Amended federal tax return can take up to 20 weeks or longer for the IRS to process.

Hi, it's telling me my information doesn't match anything in their system but I know my information is correct. Does that mean they didn't receive my return?

If you e-File 1040-X it should show up on IRS.gov within three to seven days.

You will pay more if your amendment adds a form that was not supported in your original version.

Otherwise there is no charge to amend.
