Is the $79.06 withheld by one employer, or is it the total for two or more employers?

If it's for one employer, are you sure the $79.06 is SDI and not SUI? Double-check the actual W-2 form that you got from your employer.

As rjs stated, one employer cannot withhold more than $65.20. If a single employer did withhold more than that, change it to $65 in Turbo Tax and ask the employer to pay you back (if you care to pursue it).

Employers also sometimes combine the taxes on the W2 entry, which can be confusing. Look at your year end paystub to help clarify that.

The maximum allowable withholding from a single employer is:

UI- $139

FLI- $26

DI-$65

If you go above the caps above with 2 or more employers, that excess will be refund on your tax return (Form NJ-2450)

I was stuck here during the final check. NJ SDI can't be larger than $60, but the box 14 had UIWFSWF for $146.20. The way to solve it for me was (after some tries) to go to the "Form" icon, go to the corresponding line and select the right category (UIHCWD).
