Do I need to purchase and install turbotax each year?

Or can this be done on line?

Last year I ourchased from Costco do I neded to back to Costco every year?

Each tax year has its own software ---- programmed for the tax laws in effect for the specific tax year and programmed to include the forms for that year. You need 2023 software to prepare a 2023 tax return. The software you used for 2022 cannot be updated for 2023.

Each tax year is a separate TurboTax program.

You an use the TurboTax online editions for tax year 2023 or you can purchase one of the TurboTax desktop CD/Download editions for 2023 to install on your personal computer.
