No more than a couple hours after I had submitted my 2023 tax return and it was approved, I realized I needed to add college info for my college son. It raised our return by $1000. How do I amend my return?

You should wait until the original return is fully processed before you amend. Here are the instructions when you are ready; you have 3 years to file the amendment. Follow the instructions here to amend your tax return.
