My taxes were rejected due to child’s father claiming him; And I also claimed him. I was told to amend them and fix that simple mistake. But it didn’t allow me to. And then was unable to talk to a live person.

If your return rejected it was never filed. You don't amend. You just fix it and file it as the original return. Is it for 2022 or this year 2023?

For 2022 You will need to switch to the Desktop program to fix it.

How to finish a prior year online return

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/prior-year-return/help/how-do-i-finish-a-prior-year-return-that-i-started-in-turbotax-online/00/26322

You will first need to download the tax data file from Online. It will end in .tax2022, .tax2021, .tax2020. You can download the tax file for free. Then you need to install the Desktop program.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return .tax file is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to FILE - NEW).

before we provide info on how to amend, we first need to know who was entitled to claim your son under the tax laws

were you divorced, legally separated or separated under a written agreement from his father at the end of 2022

or did you live apart in the last 6 months of 2022?

was the child in the custody of one or both parents for more than half the year?

if the child was in the custody of only one parent for more than 1/2 the year did the custodial parent provide the noncustodial parent a signed form 8332?

was there a court order in effect specifying who was to claim the child for 2022?
