The deceased spouse prepared the return but died November 30, 2023 but the surviving spouse is not sure it was filed properly.

If the married filing jointly tax return was filed with the IRS, you may request a tax return transcript either online or by IRS form 4506-T.

If the tax return was prepared on TurboTax Online, do the tax return paper records contain the account name used and password?

If the tax return was prepared on TurboTax Desktop, you may be able to retrieve a copy of the tax return from your spouse's personal computer.

if you can access the turbotax account used to file the 2022 return, you could print out a copy ior you can get a copy of the actual return or transcript from the iRS

transcript is available online by registering or you can file form 4506-T to get by mail

or for $30 a copy of the filed return by filing form 4506 to get by mail
