If she is not listed on your account then you do not want to try and direct deposit her tax refund in your account. The bank will reject the deposit and send it back to the IRS. The IRS will then issue a refund check and mail the check to the address on the tax return.

That could be a bad idea. If her name is not on the account the bank is likely to refuse the deposit and send it back to the IRS. Then the IRS has to issue a paper check and mail it to the address on her tax return---thereby delaying her refund for weeks.

Are you talking about an actual paper check, or a direct deposit of your daughter's tax refund? If it's a paper check your daughter can endorse it to you, and your bank should let you deposit it in your account. But if you mean direct deposit, you should not have her direct deposit sent to your account. See the previous replies above.
