Importing Amended Return PDF

I used a tax prep service for my 2022 return and will be using TurboTax for 2023. My tax preparer is in the process of filing an amended 2022 return. Should I wait for that to start my 2023 taxes in TurboTax? I see there is an option to import a PDF for prior returns. Should I import the original or the amended return (Or both)?

You should transfer the Amended return. But the pdf only transfers limited info like your name, ssn, address & AGI. You might as well do 2023 without transferring from a pdf.

your tax preparer can tell you if the amendment will impact your 2023 return or not.

Often there is no impact.

Oh and to efile 2023 you will need to enter the AGI from the Original 2022 return 1040 line 11.
