Even though Turbo Tax will let you efile in early January the return will just sit at Turbo Tax until the IRS opens January 29, 2024. And you might get more tax forms in the mail you forgot about or weren't expecting. The employers and banks, etc don't have to mail the W2 and 1099 forms until Jan 31.
