If you have your TurboTax 2022.tax file on your computer the 2023 desktop program will ask you if you want it transferred when you start a new return.

The tax data file for tax year 2022 should be in the TurboTax folder in the Documents directory. The 2022 tax data file will have a file extension of .tax2022. When you start a 2023 tax return with the 2023 TurboTax software it will show a list of 2022 tax returns that reside in the TurboTax folder. Choose from the list to have the 2022 tax data transferred to the 2023 tax return.
