Removing my wife as a dependent

Last year my wife and I did a joint return. This year we are seperate. Her returns is accepted but mine has been rejected for 2 days solid. Many tries. I am told she is listed as a dependent but have check everything I see saying she is doing her own return and not a dependent. I am stuck as my return is not being accepted. How do i fix this? Turbo Tax tells me it will help but only tells me the problem but not solution.

Ok ... first look at the form 1040 ... did you correctly choose to file separately? And is she listed incorrectly as a dependent ?

Then look at her return ... did she file separately ? Did she accidentally enter you as a dependent ?

If you cannot efile the return by Friday then you must print it, ink sign it and mail it in with a copy of the rejection email.

Also review your data input in the MY INFO tab ... what did you choose on this screen ? It should have been none then nothing or yes but not no.
