What address in North Carolina did you mail your federal tax return to? Was it P.O. Box 1214, Charlotte, NC 28201-1214? If so, it will probably get forwarded to the correct processing center, but it might take some time. You can check to see if it shows up on Where's My Refund? on the IRS web site, but give it a few weeks.

What state do you live in? Did you also mail your state tax return to the same address? If so, it will not be forwarded. The state tax return has to be mailed to a different location. Check the filing instructions from TurboTax, or your state's tax web site.

Did you mail federal and state in the same envelope? If you did only 1 will be processed (or forwarded). The other return will be ignored or discarded. Like if you sent both state and federal to the state tax dept the federal return won't be sent to the IRS for you.
