When did you amend? Did you efile? Was it accepted? Normally amended returns take 16 weeks (4 months) to process. 3 weeks after filing you can check an amended return here.

Status of Processing Form 1040-X, Amended Individual Tax Return: As of June 24, 2023, we had 1.35 million unprocessed Forms 1040-X. We are processing these returns in the order received and the current timeframe can be more than 20 weeks. Please don't file the same return more than once. Taxpayers should continue to check Where's My Amended Return? for the most up to date processing status available.
