If you pay the fees upfront with a credit card you will avoid the extra $40 Pay with Refund service charge and probably get your refund a couple days faster. It will come directly from the IRS without going through the 3rd party bank.

The pay with refund fee or the Refund Processing Fee was totally optional and you were shown the cost of the fee before selecting this option. As stated you could have paid with a credit/debit card instead of using this optional service.

TurboTax now has a prominent "NO THANKS", on every upsell/addon proposition.

Evidently, that's still not going to slow down their upsell efforts.
