If my e-transmit status is pending does that mean I did something wrong in the filing process?

Pending only means the tax return is waiting for the IRS to pull the return from the server location. When the IRS pulls the tax return you will receive an email from TurboTax when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.

This procedure can take anywhere from 24 to 72 hours. Maybe longer at this time of year.

Yes. Since the tax return was transmitted on or before April 18, 2023.

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.
