I'm assuming you have already filed your income tax return(s) and the IRS and/or state government have processed your return. By processed, I mean the IRS/state have accepted your return and you received your refund or paid your amount due.

If so, then, It depends.

If the $16 results in you owing additional income tax(es), then yes, you need to amend your income tax return(s).

If the $16 does not affect your refund or balance due, then no, you don't have to amend your income tax return(s).

I received a 1099-G after completion of my taxes reporting only $16. Do I have to complete a full 1040-X for that small amount?
