Has anyone got there South Carolina federal refund and I do not mean the state refund I mean the individual refund or gotten a update on the wmr tool??

Federal and state refunds come from completely separate entities, There is no rule as to which one will come first or how much time there will be between their arrivals.

How come I got a email from TurboTax saying something about my refund but I do not have a status on my refund at all I just don’t understand why I have gotten this email if I still have no updates on my refund

@Sienna97 When did you get that email? If your return was just accepted a little while ago you need to give it some time to get into the system. Check WMR in a day or two.

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control. TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount (line 35a of your 2021 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

OR——if you filed by mail, expect a long wait. It is taking the very backlogged IRS six to nine months to process mailed returns. Until a human opens your envelope and enters the data into the system, nothing will even show up on the refund site, so you will have to be very patient.

If you are getting earned income credit on line 27 or additional child tax credit on line 28 You are subject to the delay required by the PATH act. Do not expect your refund earlier than late February.

@Sienna97 The only place to get information about your federal refund is the IRS refund site. TurboTax does not get any updates after you file the return and it has been accepted. Use the IRS site.
