The corrected W2 removed the tax withholding. Does my employer reimburse me or do I need to file a non-resident state tax return?

When your employer corrected the W-2, they could have left the tax withholding in box 17 in which case you could file a tax return in that state to get a refund of the taxes withheld. It is possible that your employer amended the payroll form they submitted to the state reporting the tax withheld, in which case they would get the money back and should give it to you. So, you need to contact the employer and see if they will give you the withheld taxes, or if they can correct the W-2 again so you can get it from the state.

The W-2c they provided me shows the "previously reported" and the "correct information."

On the "correct information" side, boxes 14 and 17 reflect zero now. Does this mean I can get the refund directly from the state?
