Confused about how/why/when Turbo Tax charges for filing tax return

I was not prompted to elect how to pay the $99 fee to file for "free", and I did NOT authorize anything to be deducted from my refund. It said the federal cost $99 and the state was $0. Then it said my total was $0 and never confirmed how or when I'll be charged for the free filing. I've also received a confirmation email stating that there is a $99 fee for the free filing, but that email, also, does not say how I'm being charged or when I'll need to pay.

It's sketchy enough that Turbo Tax advertises as a free service and then charges literally everyone to file taxes. Next year, I'll be filing with a different company. But for now, how do I pay these mo-fo's?

If you choose to pay your TurboTax fees with your federal refund, then you would not need to pay online, as it would be deducted from your tax refund.

Your first words were "if you choose". There was no option to choose anything. That's what I'm saying. I was not given a choice to pay for it. I'm assuming it's being pulled from my return, which I did not want.

Did you get a response? I was charged $129 and I never selected deluxe and or premium.
