Hi,

what if an employee requests a corrected w2, however their w2 matches how they filled out their w4 and everything is currently correct on it. (therefore their request in changes are not correct) Do we still have to do whatever they want on their w2?

Please explain what they want you to change. Certainly if the amounts you reported are correct you would not change that. Are they asking you to change their address or something inconsequential to their ability to file?

in a very long, odd, way I think they are just trying to say that their wages should not be federally taxable. howver, she didn't put exempt on her w4 or anything of that sort prior.
