Pending status shouldn’t take no longer than a couple of hours. Turbo tax employees are providing false information to tax payers. I spoke with the IRS and they confirmed that if it’s not accepted or rejected within a few hours then something is wrong with the tax software that was used; which is turbo tax. Individuals that submitted their returns prior to Jan 23rd is stuck in some sort of loop and turbo tax haven’t found a solution to fix the issue. They rather provide false information rather address the issue.

I filed my taxes on 1/13/2023 and haven’t been accepted yet, what’s the hold up? Turbo tax told me to contact them if it’s been more than 48 hours after the IRS open and no one can give me a straight answer. There’s people filing and getting accepted within minutes.

Pending can take anywhere from 3 days to a few weeks. The best way to keep up to date is to check Where's My Refund?

It DOES NOT take up to 3 weeks for IRS to accept a efiled return. I wish turbo tax would just be honest and admit to its customers that something has happened with their software, instead yall are just lying and giving people the run around.
