Efile still pending

I Efile my return on January 13, 2023, my return is still pending on turbo tax but when I contacted the IRS they said they have no record that my return was transmitted to them. They advised me to contact turbo tax and question why. I’ve spoken with 3 tax experts and neither was able to get down to the bottom of what’s happening. Turbo tax is refusing to admit they have a systemic problem and now I can’t file my return elsewhere.

When you follow the instructions here to check your e-file status, what does it say in Turbo Tax?

It’s saying pending .. it’s been pending for several days. No update, not accepted nor rejected, never received by the IRS

I'm having the same issue. I filed 1/23 and it is still pending. When I check the IRS website it says they cannot find any of my information, like I didn't file.. Could you please help me as well?

The IRS started processing returns on Jan 23. They have millions of returns to work on and are sort staffed.

We understand and know this. But turbo tax states that if it's pending for more than 48 hours, that means something may be wrong and they are checking it out before they send it to the IRS. Everyone else is being accepted minutes after, advance included, and then there's a few of us who feel something is wrong. So if a experienced turbo employee would look into my account for me please that would be highly appreciated! Thanks!

Why would you not be able to file else where if your return has not been transmitted to the irs what would stop you from filing another return....if you file another one what ever return gets transmitted first would cancel the other

Is that a answer to this ? Or is it to another post dated at a earlier date because today is the 26th of 2023 not before the 23rd

As simply as that sounds, it’s against the law to file duplicate. The reason why the IRS hasn’t received individuals that filed prior to Jan 23rd is because turbo tax has a glitch and those returns are stuck in some sort of loop within intuit processing system. Once they find the problem and address it . Those returns will be transmitted successfully

I'm with you for the past 5 years my returns have been accepted within minutes this is the first year for it to take this long been 4 days no response
