Is anyone else having trouble adding the dependent credit, where you normally add your providers and the amount you paid?

The credit is for if you both worked, were a full time student or are disabled. The questions are only for student or disabled and if you don't check that box, it doesn't bring up the option to add your childcare providers.

Have you entered income in for both of you yet? Until you complete the income section you really should not be putting anything in the deductions section.

If you are filing a joint return you have to show income from both parents. If you have self-employment income you will not receive the credit if you show a loss. Make sure all of your income has been entered before you try to work on the childcare credit.
