The first 1040X was an error and shouldn't have been filed. My 1040SR was correct.

Before you start amending again......please explain what happened. What did you think was wrong with the original return that caused you to amend?

If 1040-X No.1 was incorrect, you wait until IRS reviews your submission and if it contradicts their records IRS will not approve it.

Not necessarily true. If you file and have to amend prior to getting an additional tax-related document, the initial revision was correct at the time, however with the reception of the late document, we need to be able to submit additional 1040X to correct the 1040..
