Can't find my previous year tax return

I purchased a CD last year and filed both my state and Federal taxes. I also recieved an accpeted emails from TT for both. When I go in now to locate them after signing into my TT account , I keep getting the follwoing message:

You havent filed your taxes with TurboTax yet.

Check back once you have filed your first tax return. You will be able to access all your completed returns here.

Can some one help?

TurboTax online has no record or copy of a tax return you prepared using the CD/download software.

If you used desktop software downloaded/installed from a CD to your own computer, then the tax files are stored locally on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive. They are not stored online. If you cannot recover them due to a hard drive failure, etc. you can get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee of $43, an actual copy of your tax return.
