If you have already filed the 2021 tax return the direct deposit information for the refund cannot be changed. If the bank information is incorrect then the bank will reject the direct deposit and return the tax refund to the IRS. The IRS will then mail a refund check to the address on the tax return.

@taraax12 the IRS does not permit changes to banking information once the tax return has been filed in order to reduce the risks of fraud.

when you file 2022 taxes you will enter the bank account you want to use.
