2019 Tax Refund

When I go online to check the status of my 2019 Tax return filed in March 2020, I continue to get a message that the information is not valid or that the amount is not correct. I have quadruple checked what Turbo Tax has listed as my refund amount yet the IRS system says it's not correct.

Turbo Tax says my electronic filing was accepted.

What do I do?

I can't get anybody from Turbo Tax and I can't get anybody from the IRS.

Once a tax return has been Accepted by the IRS or a State, TurboTax receives no further information concerning the tax return or the status of any tax refund.

Make sure that you are entering on the IRS federal tax refund status website the Exact Social Security number, the Filing Status and the whole dollar amount that is shown on the 2019 tax return Form 1040 that was filed - https://www.irs.gov/refunds

The refund amount is shown on the 2019 Form 1040 Line 21a

To access your prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

Scroll down to the section Your tax returns & documents. Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created. TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

@chuckmcbryde1584 - there is no one at Turbo Tax that will know anything about the status of your tax return.. That is confidential information that the IRS will only share with you. They do not share the information with anyone other than you.

Best is to try to call the IRS (it is hard to get through) or personally visit the office closest to where you live to straighten this out.
