      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/5095523"&gt;@grandmother6-9&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;- hard to follow your question.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;did you inadvertantly make an estimated payment against the 2020 tax year when you meant it to be posted against 2021?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;if you did not owe any other money for 2020, the IRS will eventually take the 2020 money and post it against 2021.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Just be patient.&amp;nbsp; No amendment required,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;IF you&amp;nbsp; missed entering in the 2021 estimated payment on the 2021 return&amp;nbsp; and the 2020 refund that was applied to the 2021 return&amp;nbsp; AND&amp;nbsp; you have successfully efiled the return or mailed it in then all you can do is wait for the IRS to fully process the original return ... this is something the IRS usually catches for you automatically so you will not need to file an amendment.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
