this 2022 tax season I had to file an appeal on my 1040 tax return; reason was for my recovery rebate credit and I am now due an additional refund on 7/26/2022. My question is since I paid for my refund through turbo tax and received my direct deposit back in March through the turbo tax bank will I get my additional refund the same way? Or will it be sent directly to my bank instead of turbo tax bank first?

I paid for my refund through the turbo tax processing and received my direct deposit to my bank Once turbo tax deducted their fees. Since I’m due an additional refund now how should I expect my direct deposit?

If you filed an amended return then that refund is ALWAYS sent in the form of a check mailed to the address on the 1040X.

no amended return was filed. i filed an appeal to the irs that sent me my cp-12 letter.

Hard to know for sure however it usually will follow the same path as the original refund.
