Cannot input 1099-DIV when amending a 2021 tax return

Hi,

I'm using TurboTax 2021 Home and Business desktop edition. My original 2021 tax return is already processed by IRS. Now I am trying to amend the tax return for 1099-DIV missed earlier. But I cannot find the option for "1099-DIV" in the software.

Here is the list of options in TurboTax when starting amending a tax return:

- W-2

- 1098-T

- 1098-E

- 1095-A

- 1099-R

- 1099-MISC

- I need to change (amend) my return for a different reason

Which one should I choose for 1099-DIV?

Form 1099-DIV should be an option. Once you've started the amended return and all the totals are zero,

In TurboTax, select Personal from the top menu.
On the How do you want to enter your personal income? screen, select I'll choose what I work on.
On the Your 2021 Income Summary screen, scroll all the way down to Interest and Dividends.
Select Update next to Dividends on 1099-DIV.
If you get to the Here's the dividend info we have so far screen, select Add Another Broker or Payer.
Continue with the onscreen interview until complete.

After I finished "1099-DIV" section in "Personal" screen for amending my tax return, what is the next step in TurboTax? (1099-DIV is the only thing I need to amend). Should I go to "State Taxes" screen, or go to "Review" screen ?

Yes, you should go to 'State Taxes' and continue until you see a screen that asks if you want to amend it. Say 'Yes' and follow the screens to finish your state amendment.

If there are no changes showing a balance due or a refund, on either the federal or the state return you do not need to file it.
