Where do I find my Magi on my tax return?

The list is on the 1040 form under Schedule 1. The resulting number is your AGI. Add back any deductions for which you qualify; these can include student loan interest and individual retirement account contributions. The resulting number is your MAGI.

The IRS requires your 2020 adjusted gross income (AGI) to verify your identity for e-filing. If you're paper-filing your return, you won't need your AGI because those returns are manually processed.

You won't find your AGI on your W-2 or 1099 form, because those forms don't take into account over a dozen above-the-line deductions that go into calculating your AGI.
