      <description>&lt;P&gt;I am still having issues with this. All the help articles take you to a generalized "Troubleshoot TurboTax Desktop for Windows issues" article. I have tried all the steps listed in this article and TurboTax is still not working. Unsure what to do or if I can be refunded. I have been using TurboTax for 5 years so it would unfortunate to switch but I think I will need to look into other options if the software does not open.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also if anyone has specific steps that they took to resolve this issue can they please share!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I was able to get TurboTax to open by uninstalling all versions of Miscroft Visual C++ and then using the Micosoft website to reinstall only the latest Visual C++ version. I also ran updates, unistalled TurboTax, restarted my computer, and then reinstalled and reopened TurboTax. This solution was only provided to me after calling technical support and does not appear anywhere else online. Hoping this saves some else 4-5 hours of trouble shooting.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
